Pilates for Rehabilitation from Injury or Surgery
If you have an injury or have undergone surgery you may have had a
course of treatment from a physiotherapist or osteopath. Following this
treatment there may be a gap between what you can do and what you
want to be able to do whether that be sports/exercise or everyday
activities.
Pilates is an effective exercise technique to bridge this gap especially
with the use of the equipment. It works on strengthening muscles
surrounding joints to provide stability and also on improving the range of
movement at a joint. Correct movement patterns will be established
enabling the body to strengthen and move freely.
